April was another cramped and busy meeting. Maybe now that warm weather has arrived, the neighborhood kids would be more interested in sports at the BBSC instead of board games. Even in tight quarters we were able to fit in 24 members and 5 guests who brought in 19 models and 9 WIPs and FAVs. That’s a nice come back over March numbers!

April Meeting
WIP / Fav Model Night:
This activity turned out pretty well. We had several informative works in progress discussions as well as some very interesting favorites.

Take A Part / Leave A Part: Gordon will be heading this one up. Every one of us finds that we have parts left over when working on a kit. Gordon has volunteered to bring in a basin to keep any parts that you might consider tossing away. He’ll bring it in for each meeting for people to add or take away from the club parts box. This is something we can all benefit from!

You can see pics from each meeting either at the Club Website or on Gordon’s blog:

On the agenda: May
Contest Night 2Q09: It’s time for another quarterly contest. Bring in models to compete. Numbers get crunched from the four quarterly contests to see who reigns over the categories at the end of the year.

Contest Skills Discussion: On a contest night we all wonder about how we did in the competition. Hugh Alcock will discuss with us how to build for IPMS contests and WIN! Bring your notebooks and tape recorders as this should prove be very educational!

Parts Box Night - Take A Part / Leave A Part: Every one of us finds that we have parts left over when working on a kit. Bring in your spare parts to share with the group. Last month Gordon brought in the basin for “Take a Part / Leave a Part.” And it already has stuff in it. So if you don’t want to bring home your spare parts, feel free to donate them to the big bin! Gordon will bring the club parts box back for each meeting for people to add or take away from. This is something we can all benefit from!

Generating Money: The club will continue to sell magnets and patches and run raffles and to generate some extra money. Can we count on you to help fund various activities and sponsorships?

Our next meeting will be on May 15, 2009.
