the BATTLE

 of the BULGE

 75th  Anniversary Theme Contest

It’s been 75 years since the Allies invaded Normandy and started liberating Europe from Nazi Occupation. A path that led to the legendary Battle of the Bulge. What better way to remember that occasion than with a theme contest? Simply build anything used in that period, from the landing at the beaches up through the most famous tank battle. We’re looking forward to seeing Invasions Stripes, and all manner of things land, sea, and air. Plenty for everyone to build.

Feel free to contact the sponsors or officers with any questions.

BPMS
Bulletin
by Bobby B2 Blue Pokorny

May had a strong showing. We had 31 members and 2 guests who brought in 27 models, most were for the quarterly contest.

May Meeting

CONTEST NIGHT-2Q18: We had an excellent assortment of models competing in all the categories. We had members tell us a few words about their models at the end of the meeting.

PARTS BOX: I can’t say that I saw a whole lot parts action going on, but I did see some members with wide smiles after finding that missing part!

RAFFLE: We had another raffle with a remarkable assortment of prizes. The club is always looking for donations for these activities.

On the agenda: JUNE

JUNE THEME: It’s finally here!
NASA
50th Anniversary of the Moon Landing
More details HERE.

DECEMBER THEME: With NASA happening this month, we will be looking for a theme for December. Jimmy mentioned that this year marks 75 years since the Battle of the Bulge. That’s a good idea. We have a bunch of others listed on the next page. If you, or a group of members would like to sponsor a theme, please speak with Bobby before the business portion of the meeting.

BBQ Night: Summer is here and so is the BPMS BBQ. All the components have been going up in price, so we’re looking at around $10 per person to chow down. The club will provide hot dogs, burgers, salads and soft drinks. If you would like to donate anything for the meal, feel free to do so. Thanks in advance
