A Thank You Note from Iraq

I got the following thank you from a soldier using the model club facilities at FOB Speicher. Thought you’d like to post it and/or use it in the newsletter.

Dear Sir,

On behalf of deployed modelers in Iraq, thank you and the Brooklyn Plastic Modeler's Society for your generosity and thoughtfulness.

I was recently at FOB Speicher and heard about the Model Club. Once I found it, I was simply amazed at how well stocked the club was with kits and supplies. You and your fellow modelers have really made a huge positive impact in our deployment. With the chaos, long hours, and austere working conditions, any escape is welcome - especially settling in with a model.

The Brooklyn Plastic Modeler's Society and other like-minded clubs, businesses and
modelers have provided a critical link for deployed modelers and introduced other people into our great hobby.
