08/27/2020 BPMS Zoom Mini-meeting Report

Thirteen people attended the meeting. In progress and completed work included: F 100, Northrup Nuclear Bomber, Cthulhu, Santa, Medusa, Perseus, Mandalorian, Supertanker, Panther A, M4A1 early, Flackpanzer, Pershing, Panther (with paper zimmerit), M32 recovery vehicle and Terminator plasma rifle. Judging by new acquisitions, we should be seeing some new car builds soon: Olsonite Eagle, Ford P68 and a 65 Chevy Impala. We discussed priming soft plastic figures with craft paint and 3D printing topics like the printed cockpit decals and tips on assembling 3D printed kits. We had the raffle and once again the winner was the one who donated the prize. Will it happen again next month? Donate something and see for yourself. The next meeting will be Sept 3 at 8 pm. Invites to follow. Hope to see you there.

Sixteen people attended the meeting. The hobby shop update: Brownie's (Staten Island) is open, Red Caboose (Manhattan) is open, Rudy's (Astoria) is closed and Tremont (The Bronx) is out of business. What's the status of the shops in your area? Let us know. Acquisitions, In progress and completed work included: off shore oil platform & tanker, Comet Mk1A, F15E, Panther A, Lighthouse, Yak 9A, Ju 52 bomber conversion. We noticed a lot of people have an F15 or two in their stash. Theme contest maybe? Miss the raffle? It will be back, on the last Thursday of every month. So, to enter the raffle, be at the meeting last Thursday. Sounds like a BPMS version of Who's on First. The next meeting will be 8/20 at 8 pm. Invites to follow. Hope to see you there.

BPMS 7/30/20 zoom mini meeting report

Sixteen people attended the meeting. We talked about our favorite and least favorite flat finishes and recent experiences with vendors. Scale Hobbyist, Hobby Link and Free Time Hobbies got positive reviews. There was a lot of work in progress / completed work: Terminator, Strike Eagle, Me 262 HG4, Ar E340, Panther A, Minsk, Sdkfz 222, Lincoln Continental station wagon and others. Technical problems and other obligations meant fewer people in the raffle pool but that didn't bother Frank, who finally got that Titanic he wanted ever since the movie came out. Speaking of the raffle, the inventory of prizes is getting low. If you have anything to donate, send Bobby a photo. Your generosity will be appreciated. That being said, Frank, keep the Titanic. The next meeting is Aug 6 at 8 pm. Invites to follow. See you there.
