Members start showing up by 5PM to set up.
Feel free to come early and hang-out!
Keep up to date on all BPMS news and activities here!
Swap Night – Bring in models to swap or sell. You might want to bring some cash in case someone brings in that kit you’ve been looking for!
Large Model Theme Night - Jimmy made the suggestion, so we are bringing in LARGE MODELS to display. Even if it’s a WIP, we’d be happy to see it for the display.
BPMS Poker Chips – President Kevin got us a supply of BPMS Poker chips to give out at shows. If you are planning on going to a show, please see the officers so we can give you some chips to place with exceptional work.
BPMS Stickers – We made up some really nice looking club logo stickers and they will be up for sale starting this month.
August Activities
Hello everyone! August is upon us again. The year sure has been moving along way too quickly! This month’s activities are:
Pizza Night: Possibly the biggest member-favorite activity. Just be sure that your dues are paid up. Bring your appetite, but not your friends.
Contest Night 3Q: This is the third installment of the annual contest. That means you can bring in any work that hasn’t already appeared in a quarterly contest. You can, however, bring in anything you built for the VERTICAL TAKE OFF theme contest since it is new work.
Meeting Date: AUGUST 21, 2026
Members start showing up by 5PM to set up.
Feel free to come early and hang-out!
Welcome to JULY! I hope everyone had a happy and safe Fourth of July!

STRAIGHT UP! It's finally here! The JUNE BPMS Theme Contest is upon us! Vertical Take Off Theme Contest, sponsored by Frank, Angelo and Joe, should be a really fun contest with unique awards! Looking forward to seeing the variety of entries.
SUMMER PICNIC NIGHT: Since the picnic went well last year it's on again for June, 2026. Summer weather pairs perfectly with a couple giant hero sandwiches! Feel free to bring sides, snacks, desserts, etc. We'll provide soft drinks and coffee.

Welcome to APRIL! We are one third of the way through 2026. This is your final month to declare pledges.
MODEL PLEDGES: This is the final month to declare Model Pledges for the year. In case you aren’t sure how this works, for each new model you bring in you get credit for ONE ticket for the Annual Super Raffle in NOVEMBER. By declaring (by this month) then completing that PLEDGE MODEL on or before OCTOBER earns you an additional FIVE Super Raffle tickets.
WIP NIGHT: What are you working on? Bring something(s) that you are working on to show the group. For those who have already declared their Pledges, this would be a good time to show your progress. Please be prepared to tell the group a few words on how the build is going and your approach to dealing with things.
Welcome to MARCH! To finish up the first quarter of BPMS activities we have:
Decal
Swap Night: Bring decals you no longer need to swap or sell with other
members. You might find those markings that you have been looking for!
Green
Model Night: The big holiday for March is St Patrick ’s Day and what
better way to observe it than with GREEN MODELS. It’s not a contest,
simply a theme for models to bring. You are welcome to bring back
something old to show the group, or if it ties into the theme in some
way, it would be great. Be prepared to tell the group a few words on
your models.
Of course, everyone is welcome to bring any other new work that has been completed.
You
also still have time to declare your model pledge. Speak with me about
it. April is the cut off for declarations and October is the due date
for finished models.
June’s Theme Contest: The Vertical Take Off
Theme Contest is off and running! Build something that can have a
CONTROLLED vertical take-off AND landing. Think helicopters and
harriers, but not V2 rockets.
Meeting Date: MARCH 20, 2026
Members start showing up by 5PM to set up.
Feel free to come early and hang-out!
Show Us Your Tool: This activity may sound vulgar but has been a fun tradition for decades. Do you have a favorite tool that you like to use? Have you found a new tool the members might want to know about? Do you have a method to get things done that is really helpful? Bring it in and show the group!
Contest Night 1Q: The first quarterly contest is upon us. Feel free to bring in models that you haven’t previously brought in for a quarterly contest. If you built something new for the December theme contest, you are invited to bring it back for competition.
Model Pledges: I am still making the list for this year’s Pledges. Speak with Bobby for details!
June’s Theme Contest: The Vertical Take Off Theme Contest is off and running! Build something that can have a CONTROLLED vertical take-off AND landing. Think helicopters and harriers, but not V2 rockets.

December. There it is. Another year in the books! So this is what you can look forward to at the final meeting of 2025.
British Sci-Fi Invasion Theme Contest: You’ve been building for this for MONTHS. Now is the time to bring in your model(s). Sponsored by Israel and Jeff, the group was challenged to build something that British based Sci-Fi. There are lots of options so we are expecting quite a variety!
Annual Awards: Your humble narrator and BPMS secretary has been crunching the numbers for the annual contest and now we get to see the results of who YOU chose in each category, most popular entries, and who will be the TOP GUN!
Holiday Desserts: We encourage members to bring desserts to the December Meeting for our in-house year-end celebration.
Holiday Dinner: At the time this is posted the Holiday Luncheon will have taken place. We are tried out a new place this year: Wheelers. Everyone seemed to be very happy with the food and service. Of course, it’s always a fun time with friends and family.
THANK YOU TO THE MEMBERSHIP FOR ANOTHER AMAZING AND MEMORABLE YEAR!
HAVE A HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON AND A SAFE AND WONDERFUL 2026!

The November meeting is one of our busiest all year! A LOT going on!
Contest Night - 4Q: This is the final installment of the quarterly contest so bring in your work to collect some extra votes. With any luck I should have the numbers crunched and the awards ready for the December meeting.
Super Raffle: The prolific get rewarded. For each new model you brought in during the last year you get one Super Raffle Ticket. In addition, if you completed your Pledge model by last month, you get an additional FIVE Super Raffle tickets. We usually have a nice selection of prizes, but if anyone wants to donate anything, feel free to bring it in to this meeting.

Where has the year gone? It’s already OCTOBER! So let’s see what’s cooking!
Model Pledges: You declared your pledge model earlier this year. Bring your model, complete or not to this meeting. Of course, completed pledges earn an additional FIVE Super Raffle Tickets.
Spooky Model Night: It IS October. So if you don’t have a pledge, why not bring in something that can be considered spooky.
Eg: Obvious - Dracula or The Mummy. Less Obvious – F-4 Phantom
Officer Nominations: Two years are up for the guys at the top seats. Who will we select next?

Remembering Don: Longtime member Don Illjes passed away in July. We would like to mark the occasion to ask for members to bring things to tell the group about that relate to memories of Don.
Holiday Dinner: Since the last meeting members have been contacting various venues regarding party menus. We MUST nail down a decision at this meeting so we can make arrangements.
I am sure we will also discuss the latest IPMS News as I will be participating in the Region One Zoom the night before the meeting.

Welcome to JULY! I hope everyone had a happy and safe Fourth of July!
NACA/NASA THEME NIGHT: While we realize that not everyone is a Real Space Modeler, the rules are that any plane/support vehicle does not have to have the NACA/NASA logo on it – only that you provide the reason it belongs in this exhibit.
For example, if you show an F-15 that doesn’t have NASA logo on it, it will still count of you can say that F15s were typically used by NASA as chase planes, and fill the role of escort aircraft during research missions. Or that the F-15s are used by Armstrong research pilots for routine flight training required by all NASA pilots.
For the car guys, did you know that most of the Apollo astronauts drove gold Corvettes? Light bulb!
Got it? Let’s see what the club tables will look like! ~KK
